Authorization

Last changes: 12-04-2019

In line with the new Payment Services Directive (PSD2) the Authorization process for Technical Accounts has been split in to 2 different flows:

  • Customer Initiated Recurring Payments (CIT), applicable only for Credit/Debit Cards. Following the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) payment process, the customer selects the stored credit/debit card (One-Click Payment) and proceeds with the 3D Secure verification process.
  • Merchant Initiated Unscheduled Recurring Payments (MIT) are performed on an irregular bases for a given stored payment option, marked as default by the user. However, MITs must utilize the basic payment process, i.e. the API method. The MIT flow is available for all other Stored Payment Options, including Credit/Debit Cards (i.e. Subscriptions), SEPA Direct Debit, PayPal etc.
